Israel resumes deadly strikes on Gaza after ceasefire violations

Israel has killed at least 74 Palestinians in Gaza on Friday, with hospitals overwhelmed by casualties. The Palestinian Health Ministry reports over 250 deaths in the past 36 hours. Israel resumed its strikes on March 18, breaking the ceasefire agreement.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Israel continues its deadly assault on Gaza following the most violent day for Palestinians since the regime resumed its attacks in March.

Medical sources reported that at least 74 Palestinians have been killed so far on Friday, with most casualties occurring in the northern Gaza Strip.

The Indonesian Hospital in Beit Lahia has received 30 dead and dozens of injured, primarily women and children. Meanwhile, five fatalities and over 75 injured individuals were transferred to al-Awda Hospital in Jabalia.

Residents describe relentless airstrikes, artillery shelling, and gunfire from Israeli drones. Yousef al-Sultan, a resident of Beit Lahia, recounted how Israeli forces bombed a house next to his, striking it while its occupants were inside.

The Palestinian Health Ministry reported that more than 250 people have been killed in Israeli strikes over the past 36 hours, with 150 injured transferred to hospitals.

Munir al-Bursh, director-general of Gaza’s Health Ministry, accused Israel of deliberately targeting medical facilities.

The latest massacres in northern Gaza follow a series of powerful Israeli strikes near the European Hospital in Khan Yunis earlier this week. Reports indicate that Israel used at least 40 bunker buster bombs in an attempt to destroy an underground complex allegedly linked to Palestinian resistance.

Since launching its military campaign on October 7, 2023, Israel has killed more than 53,000 Palestinians.

In January, Israel agreed to a ceasefire deal with Hamas after failing to achieve its objectives, including eliminating Palestinian resistance or securing the release of captives.

The 42-day truce, repeatedly violated by Israel, expired on March 1. Despite this, Israel has refused to engage in talks for the second stage of the agreement.

On March 18, Israel resumed its strikes on Gaza, breaking the nearly two-month-long ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement.
